What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Vancouver International Airport Indigenous Art Collection for its authentic, high-quality First Nations art and gifts, offering a wide price range that suits all budgets. While some staff knowledge can be limited, the overall experience is highly positive, with many finding unique treasures and excellent value compared to standard airport shops.
"Not your average airport gift shop! This is the place to go for unique, high-quality souvenirs/gifts at prices way lower than the standard shops. They’ve got everything from $5 pins and postcards to $1000+ originals, so you’re guaranteed to find something in your budget. The staff are lovely and will gladly tell you all about the artists and even provide recommendations for what to do while you’re in town."

"Has a nice assortment of things for souvenirs and also found a lovely tapestry during my visit. Socks, and mugs for my coworkers abroad.
The employees didn’t know a lot about the tapestry other than the name of it. I ended up looking up the meaning for it “Ten”. It’s more the size of a generous throw, I thought it was too pretty to just sit on a wall somewhere behind glass. I use it as a blanket to keep warm when I travel and enjoy telling people that ask about it where I found it and the story behind it.
While I enjoy coming through this shoppe for its unique items, the employees very much strike me as the kind “just here for a paycheck” vibe. Do your own research on the items available if it’s something more of meaning for you than just a simple gift for someone else (simple gift = key chain, socks, etc.). They do offer jewelry, items like the tapestry that I purchased, and a lot of beautiful hand carved items (woods, leather, and metals)."
