Many appreciate the included U-pick sunflower and corn, as well as the charming wagon rides. Some minor drawbacks include potential weekend crowds and occasional vendor hour inconsistencies.
"Such a fun, family-friendly sunflower festival! The fields are stunning, with tons of photo ops set up throughout, perfect for making memories. My son loved the train and tractor rides. There's lots of animals all around. A beautiful way to spend the day outdoors."

"Went with my boyfriend and we had such a great and beautiful fun time! Beautiful family farm, farm tours on wagon into and out of the farm with live musicians and u-cut sunflowers all included in the price of the ticket! Also a great big farm market right beside the farm! You can take your time in the flower fields and take lots of pictures! There’s also food trucks on site. The only thing I would say is that the mini donut food truck was closed at the time we were there on Sunday evening- not sure if it was open earlier but would recommend the vendors align their hours with those of the farm while visitors are attending but other than that, 10/10 would go again!🥰"

They last entry is 7 pm. We go there at 5pm on weekday. It's so nice for a seat first then enjoying the music. There are 3 food tracks in the field. You can go there after work on weekdays.
There are a few big sunflowers and dahlias fields in the big farm. For sure you will take tons of beautiful pictures!
You can ride a mini train first. It takes you around the farm. When you ride the train and wagon, you can sing along with the singer too!
After the visiting if you still have time, go see their Richmond Country Farms Market or the Country Vines Winery next door. The corns that they grow are super sweet and they have many own grows produce."

The Ultimate Photo Guide
For the best lighting, aim for the golden hours – early morning or late afternoon. This provides softer light and fewer harsh shadows, making your photos pop. Visiting on a weekday is highly recommended to avoid crowds and have more freedom to set up your shots without obstruction. Remember to wear comfortable shoes, as you'll be walking extensively through the fields.
Navigating the Festival Grounds
While the festival is largely accessible, be mindful that some paths within the flower fields might be narrow or unpaved. Strollers and wheelchairs can navigate the main areas, but flexibility is key. The layout is designed to be explored at your own pace, allowing ample time for photos and enjoying the scenery. Consider arriving early on weekdays to experience the grounds with fewer people.
Family Fun and Activities
Beyond the flowers, keep an eye out for live animals that might be present on the farm, adding an extra element of excitement for younger visitors. The inclusion of a U-pick sunflower and corn also provides a hands-on experience that kids often love. While there are food trucks, bringing snacks and drinks for little ones can be a good idea to ensure they stay happy throughout the visit.
