What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Richmond Hill Heritage Centre for its informative exhibits and beautiful, well-maintained gardens, offering a peaceful escape. While the historic house provides a charming backdrop, some find the event spaces, particularly for parties, to be a bit small. Overall, it's a highly recommended spot for learning about local history and enjoying a serene environment.
"I am reviewing both the Afternoon Tea and Heritage Centre
AFTERNOON TEA
This was a nice setup. I loved the teacups. The hot chocolate was really impressive looking. The food was a two tier set of sandwiches, scones and cookies. The staff were also very friendly. I think you get what you paid for in that it's quite affordable but portions are small. I liked the Christmas Carol entertainment too.
I highly recommend trying their signature tea.
HERITGAGE CENTRE
Small area but packs a lot of information about Richmond Hill in a presentable format though time lines on the wall."

"It is an amazing place. There is so much interesting information about Richmond Hill.
We attended Victorian tea party of 5 years old.
Set up was bueitifull, view from windows calming.
The only thing that I wasn't really liked was that it's not a drop of party. The place is small and parents stand and didn't really have a place for 2 hours. This part of the party needs to be thinking through...
And I would add older kids group like 13-16 year old with dress up option. Few Victorian style dresses and a tea party for teenagers will be a memorable experience for birthdays or special occasions."

"Very nice little museum here. I recommend taking your kids to learn the history of Richmond Hill. They also have events like Christmas tea and you can hear carolling while you are there."
