What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Saskatchewan Science Centre for its engaging, hands-on exhibits that are fun for both kids and adults. The all-day admission and ample parking add to the convenience. While some exhibits show their age, the overall experience is highly recommended for a day of educational fun.
"Me and my wife went here yesterday for my birthday celebration and we were so happy with everything. There’s a lot of fun things to do! So if you have kids, they’ll probably enjoy spending their day here. Washrooms are very clean and very educational place."
Stef
"Delightful experience if you have kids and even adults can learn a thing or two. My family had lots of fun and were glad to see the new exhibits. The space is showing its age just a bit but the overall experience is still fun, fun, fun. Everybody appeared to be enjoying themselves. Definitely recommended."
James Webb
"We spent almost 2 1/2 hours here and probably could’ve done more. Some of the displays were meh, but most were very educational and fun to experience hands on. We found the third floor most exciting but were pretty tired by the time we discovered it. One disappointment was the hours of the envirolab, which we missed seeing. Perhaps if they were advertised better (maybe even just by the front desk staff), we might have been able to enjoy it. If you’re looking for some quality family time, and it’s within your budget, I’d recommend visiting."

Exploring the Exhibits
Visitors often find the third floor to be particularly exciting, though some recommend exploring it earlier in your visit before fatigue sets in. The Envirolab is another exhibit that draws attention, but it's crucial to check its operating hours as they may not be widely advertised. The presence of helpful staff, like the young college-aged helper who assisted with experiments and pointed out details in the water tank, further enhances the learning experience.
Family Fun and Practicalities
While the centre is generally well-equipped, a minor point of feedback from visitors is the lack of hand dryers after water-based exhibits like the bubble center or water station. Bringing a small towel or planning a quick trip to the nearby restrooms can mitigate this. Despite this small detail, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many families expressing delight at the learning and laughter shared during their visit. The centre also offers opportunities for extended fun with nearby walking trails and a skate park.
Special Events and Adult Engagement
Furthermore, the centre offers corporate memberships, which can be a valuable tool for businesses looking to promote learning and provide unique employee benefits. These memberships can offer special perks and opportunities, aligning with the centre's mission to foster scientific literacy and engagement within the community.
