Reviews Summary

Visitors appreciate the natural beauty of the dunes and wooded areas, offering a unique landscape. However, many note that the trails become very wet and overgrown, especially towards the end, and the Mud Creek bridge is often out. The length of the hike from L-Lake is also a consideration for some.

"Must access through L-Lake makes this a long out-and-back hike (~7 km). Beyond the Delmar Ellis bench the trail becomes progressively more overgrown, wet and muddy. Nothing to see once you're at the end other than a bit of the old bridge over Mud Creek. Couldn't complete the little loop shown on the map because it was so wet.

Appears to be a future connector trail to the Port Franks Community Centre. Hopefully this helps bring this place back to life."

"Nice spot. Very wet at the end sections. I would not want to do this trail in mosquito season as the end section could be very wet. Very nice going through the dunes. Lovely wood lot. Lots of old trees"
