"I first visited Kit in the year 2022 when I had just moved to Ptbo. I happened to come across its warm glow one evening in late fall while exploring the local shops, and I’m so glad I did. Everything from the food to the drinks to the atmosphere was everything i didn’t know I was looking for:) Back then, I lived further away from the downtown area so took the opportunity to treat myself whenever I was in the neighborhood, but as I’ve moved closer and closer to our Cafe District, I’ve made sure to include Kit in my daily routine. The owners, baristas, and regulars have become a part of my everyday life. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’d like to think that Kit has become a third space for some of us. It is where I go to celebrate a good day, or to prepare for a potentially not so exciting one, to wind down and take a break from my busy schedule or to focus and get some serious work done. Some days it’s simply to have a quick chat :) I’m so grateful for Helen and Zack and the entire staff for all the warmth and kindness that they share with the world and for offering us such a welcoming space with such lovely coffee and pastries. Thank you for continuing to fill our bellies and our hearts.

"Went here while driving through Peterborough to Ottawa, I must say one of the cutest cafes I have seen. My kids loved the library and the ever so pleasant atmosphere. The crossants were amazing! Coffee was made to perfection!"

"First time visiting this awesome cafe. They’re attached to a quaint Thrift Shop.
We had their “take home” butter croissants. They’re sold frozen. Apparently they were hand-made on site.
We proof them at home, then egg wash and bake.
All I have to say about them is they were the best croissants I’ve ever had eaten.
Seriously, I’ll never buy store bought/grocery store croissants now.
Yes, they’re more expensive, but worth every penny.
