Reviews Summary

The replica warships and excavated shipwreck are standout attractions, offering great educational value. While generally well-received, some visitors note that parking can be challenging during special events.
"I arrived before the doors opened at 10am, so when they did, I had the place pretty much to myself. Staff are peppered around the grounds in costume. Almost every area has knowledgeable workers enthusiastic about sharing the history of their assigned location. Although there are trees, make sure to out in sun screen in the summer because there are a lot of open areas too where you need to stop and read and talk to the workers. To improve, they could display the opening hours right at the gate. Parking is available on site and free."

"Thought it just had two war of 1812 era ship replicas but was happily surprised to find they had buildings to explore and an excavated ship wreck housed in a museum. The very small extra fee for a guided tour was well worth it. Very affordable and very informative. Our guide had a great sense of humour and encouraged questions. Looking forward to returning."

"Interesting place to visit. Parking can be hard to find if there's a theatre performance. There are two replica ships you can come aboard. And lots of houses to visit. They aren't clustered together, so there's a bit of a walk"
