The dramatic granite landscape and the powerful ocean views create a memorable experience. While it can get crowded, many find the early morning visits or the romantic sunset views to be well worth it. Some note the increasing tourist presence compared to years past.

"Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse is truly a gem and a must-visit spot, located just about an hour from Halifax.

The view is absolutely breathtaking, especially in the evening during sunset – it’s one of the most romantic and picturesque places you can experience in Nova Scotia.

The lighthouse sits on massive rocks, which add to its charm but can also be slippery when waves are rough, so it’s best to be cautious while exploring.

Fortunately, there’s usually a guard on duty keeping an eye out for tourists’ safety, which is reassuring.

Overall, Peggy’s Cove is a stunning destination that perfectly captures the natural beauty of the Atlantic coast.

Highly recommended for couples, families, and anyone who loves scenic views – we definitely recommend this spot!"

"Lots of parking, shops to buy things a boat tour 23$ a person, restaurant with lots of souvenirs to buy, great pics and vids to take. Amazing feeling there. U feel like u belong. In the summer in to September no need for a coat or a sweater. I wore shorts and a T-shirt and was fine but some may need it. There are public bathrooms at a restaurant and at the enterce at the visitor center. Closes around 5 pm to go to the bathroom. Lots of brochures. Tones for every area u visit ."

"I visited here 35 years ago. Definitely more tourist-y now but plenty of parking. Wear good footwear if you want to venture out onto the rocks. There are boat tours, souvenir and local artistry shops. One of the cafes on site had awesome cranberry squares."
