What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
LeBreton Flats is widely praised as a fantastic venue for large-scale events, particularly Ottawa Bluesfest and Canada Day, offering a great atmosphere and good stage setups. However, visitors note a lack of natural shade during the day and potential for muddy conditions if it rains. Its accessibility via public transit is a significant plus, though driving can be a hassle.
"Came for Bluesfest. The admissions gate was organized if slow, but that's not the park's fault. Hard to tell in the crush of people, but seemed a lovely lawn event space. Stage setup was good!"
Fatima Asgar
"This area of Ottawa I find a little underdeveloped. It could be quite the location if they finally did something across the street. At first the plan was to bring the Senators hockey team into this location but that fell through. In any case I hope they eventually build something nice. Lebreton Flats park as we all know is home to the Blues Festival and it’s a fun location for it. It’s a very nice vast green space in front of the War Museum. 👍😎"

"Next to no sunshade during the day, except partially around the fence. The venue itself can become muddy if it rains but has some paved pathways.
It's very easy to get to as long as you don't drive. The otrain stop is a 3 minute walk away as well as connecting busses to Quebec.
The video shows a sold out event with 3,000 guests present. There was plenty of room farther away from the stage."
