"Great way to spend the day. Entry was free as part of the 2025 sumer entry to federal parks."

"We checked this out seeing as lots of the other historic sites we wanted to see were unfortunately closed for the season. We were pleasantly surprised. You have to pay for parking but everyone younger than 18 gets in for free which is really nice. The fort itself is a reconstruction (except for the powder magazine, which is the only original building) and is really well done. There’s also a tunnel that takes you to a tower. The staff were very knowledgeable and the musket demonstration was amazing. Definitely worth the visit."
