What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mount Tzouhalem offers a rewarding experience with its scenic summit views and extensive trail network, particularly popular for mountain biking. However, visitors frequently note the confusing trail system and inconsistent signage, making a map essential. Concerns are also raised about off-leash dogs and the need for better trail etiquette between hikers and bikers.
"The hike is short but quite steep at some points. Lots of opportunities for mountain biking. That also makes it scary when the bikes come rolling down the hill and almost run over your dog. There’s a place near the top where people have made stone henge like arrangements with rock and that’s quite a nice little surprise to find while hiking."
Souparno Bandyopadhyay
"This is a very confusing hike. So many trails and there are no proper directions and markings. We spent 2-3 hrs hiking and couldn’t find a good viewpoint. Not worth the time and energy!"
Mohsin Dyer
"Great hike up to a pretty easy summit. There are numerous trails in the forest that all lead to different places if you don’t want to take the summit trail. But beware of irresponsible owners not cleaning up their dog poo! Or dogs running and barking at you because they’re off leash. I don’t like being jumped on or barked at so I dislike the fact that soooo many people let their dogs off leash and expect it to be ok. Besides that, the hike is beautiful!"
