"Such a fun and exciting place! The variety of games and activities is fantastic—there’s something for everyone, from kids to adults. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always ready to explain how things work. The space is clean, well-organized, and has a great atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. Perfect for family outings, group hangouts, or even just some solo fun. Highly recommended for a great time!"

"I hope this message reaches staff! I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all the staff!!!! This year was our first year with a season pass so we really seen first hand how hard they work! From having to run in extreme heatwaves, to having to yell repeatedly the same rules in the wave pool, & even responding with great speed and professionalism more then once for a missing child. When most of these staff are young adults / teenager themselves. The amount of times I seen a lifeguard dive into the wave pool to help a child ( usually without a parent) going under. Sometimes even adults! Each and every “emergency” and interactions was done amazingly!!! Even tho they were so hot themselves with the weather they always put their 100% and me and my family truly appreciate all your hard work! Good job all of you! I look forward to getting seasons passes again next year and spend another summer at our favourite place! Thank you all!! 😊"

"Took 3 boys aged 12 and 10 to visit for the day. We bought our tickets online the night before. We arrived just after 11 and was happy to be able to set up at some lounge chairs. One thing I enjoy is that we can take our cooler with us into the park. Boys that age eat tons of snacks so always nice to have lots with us and cold water. The boys all enjoyed the watersides but I would have to say I believe the wave pool is their favorite. The wave pool does seem as though it could use a major upgrade, parts few the walls and floors are floating around in the water. Lazy river was fun but it some parts can be a little slow moving. Overall it was pretty clean throughout the day even being a hot busy day. We ate some snacks and beavertails of course while visiting. Closed the park down. Overall a great day."

Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
Consider purchasing a season pass if you plan on visiting multiple times, as it can offer good value. For families with very young children, it's wise to research rides with lower height restrictions beforehand. The park can get crowded, so planning your day and prioritizing attractions that cater to your children's interests will ensure a more enjoyable experience.
💰 Budget Travelers
Consider visiting on a weekday to avoid peak crowds and potentially shorter wait times, which can save you time and the need for expensive skip-the-line passes. While the park offers many paid attractions and experiences, focusing on the included rides and the waterpark can provide a full day of entertainment without breaking the bank.
🎢 Thrill-Seekers
To maximize your thrill-seeking experience, arrive early and head straight for the most popular coasters. Utilize the Six Flags app to monitor wait times and plan your route efficiently. Consider purchasing a Flash Pass if your budget allows and you want to experience as many rides as possible without long waits.

The Thrill Capital of the World: Roller Coasters
Beyond the headliners, the park boasts a diverse range of coaster types, from classic wooden coasters to modern steel giants. Superman: Escape from Krypton offers a thrilling launch and a massive drop, while Twisted Colossus provides a dueling wooden coaster experience. The park continuously innovates, adding new and exciting rides to its lineup, ensuring there's always something new to discover for repeat visitors. Planning your coaster strategy is key to experiencing the most rides, especially on busy days.
Many visitors recommend using the park's app to monitor wait times and plan their attack on the coasters. Prioritizing rides that tend to have longer queues, like X2, early in the day or later in the evening can significantly improve your experience. Don't forget to check the height requirements for each ride before you get in line to avoid disappointment.
Beat the Heat: The Magic Mountain Waterpark
While the waterpark is a fantastic addition, some reviews suggest that certain areas, like the wave pool walls and floors, could benefit from upgrades. The lazy river, while enjoyable, can sometimes be slow-moving. However, the overall experience is positive, with lifeguards noted for their attentiveness and professionalism, even in challenging conditions.
Visitors can bring coolers into the waterpark, which is a significant advantage for families with children who require frequent snacks and hydration. Securing lounge chairs early is recommended, as they can fill up quickly on hot days. The waterpark provides a refreshing counterpoint to the high-octane thrills of the roller coasters, making for a well-rounded day at the park.
Navigating Six Flags Magic Mountain: Tips for a Smooth Visit
Tube rentals for the lazy river and tornado rides are a point of contention for some visitors. Single tubes are available by waiting in line, but double tubes are rental-only and are known to sell out quickly. If a double tube is a priority, be prepared to rent one early or check back periodically. Securing lounge chairs is also best done upon arrival, as prime spots can be taken quickly.
Bringing a cooler packed with snacks and drinks is a highly recommended money-saving tip. This allows you to stay fueled throughout the day without constantly purchasing expensive park food. Comfortable footwear is non-negotiable, as you'll be doing a lot of walking and standing. Finally, downloading the Six Flags app will be invaluable for navigating the park, checking wait times, and staying updated on show schedules.
