💡Visitor Suggestions to HCRR — Your Magnet Selection!
As a guest, one thing I (and many others) would love to see of is a dedicated collection of railway-themed magnets. Magnets are small, affordable, easy to collect — and a perfect way to remember a visit.
💡Suggested Magnet Ideas for HCRR to Offer:
Individual Vehicle Magnets – Featuring TTC PCC cars, Peter Witt cars, L&PS interurban, etc.
Map-Based Designs – Showing historical routes or the museum’s own track layout
Seasonal/Event Designs – For Pumpkin Patch rides, Christmas nights, etc.
Limited Edition Collector Series – Rotating annually with a collectible theme
Historical Logo Magnets – Featuring old transit company logos (e.g. Toronto Civic Railways, HSR, etc.)
These would be a hit with souvenir collectors, railfans, and especially families with kids who love taking home a small piece of their adventure.
Overall, the Halton County Radial Railway offers a nostalgic and educational experience that’s both fun and affordable. Whether you're a transit enthusiast, history lover, or just looking for something different to do near Guelph or the GTA, this place delivers."

"This is a great place to visit with kids. There is a fee to see the museum and ride the street cars however with one fee you can do multiple rides in different cars which makes it worth it. They have some cool historic advertisements in cars which brings you back to the era these were on the roads. Recommend this place for all ages, young ones for the rides and old ones for nostalgia. The visit is extra special during fall with all the colors."

"We had a fantastic time! The exhibits were really nice and offered a great mix of history, interactive experiences, and fun for all ages. The staff were passionate about trains, welcoming, and friendly.
One of the highlights was being able to ride the old streetcars as many times as we wanted during our visit. I definitely recommend this place for families with kids.
The only downside was the food options, they were a bit limited. There wasn’t a full restaurant or pizza place, just hotdogs, instant noodles, snacks, and ice cream. They even turned an old streetcar into an ice cream shop, which was really cute! If they could add more food choices, it would make the experience even better. But there were plenty of picnic areas if you want to bring your own food."
