this is last British fortification erected on Canadian soil which bears witness to remarkable technological innovations like the rolling bridge to the fort up till this point fort bridges could be operated from both sides which wasn't helpful in the situation of attack.

"This was one of the better Parks Canada sites we've been to.
For starters, we found parking easily and entered the grounds with ease.
I found there was tons of information on not only the site, but the people, its purpose and relevance to Canada.
Unlike many of the other Parks Canada sites we visited, this one had staff that knew how to engage, and knew about the place they worked(Most of the staff seem to be kids with 0 knowledge).
There was lots to see here so give yourself a couple of hours."

Exploring the Fortifications

The Lévis Forts are a marvel of 19th-century military architecture. Visitors can delve into the dark vaulted tunnels, which once served as strategic passageways and defensive positions.
