Visitors rave about the stunning waterfalls and peaceful wooded trails at Rockway Conservation Area, especially after rain when the falls are at their most powerful. Overall, it's a highly recommended spot for nature lovers and dog owners seeking an adventurous outdoor experience.
"An absolute must see!!! Best times are during rain periods or spring days where the flows are high and one can see and hear the falls roaring!!! Trail is challenging when the water levels are high.Plenty paid parking, bathroom is available. Kids and dogs friendly. Please watch your pets and kids because the escarpment is not fenced all the way and pretty steep. To reach the main falls on high flow is a bit challenging and slippery, please wear proper footwear."
Angelo Garcia
"Visited Rockway Falls with a group of friends and my dog, Leonidas. The area is beautiful and peaceful, with lush green trails, moss-covered rocks, and a scenic little waterfall at the end. Definitely worth the trip once you’re on the right path.
That said, it’s easy to take a wrong turn — we ended up on a flooded trail and had to backtrack through mud and water. The trails could use better signage, so I’d recommend checking a map before heading out. Also, we picked up a few ticks along the way, so wear long pants and check yourself (and your dog) after.
Once we found the right trail, it turned into a really fun day. A bit of an adventure with a few unexpected hiccups, but a memorable hike overall. Great for dogs, but not super beginner-friendly if the trail’s been hit by rain recently.
Would return — just with bug spray and a better sense of direction!"

"This hike was lovely. With all the early spring rains expect to need boots but I will definitely be back in the summer to experience it properly. Some absolutely beautiful views and even some flowers. Trail has some pretty steep sections and can definitely be a little challenging. Trekking poles would be recommended."
