"Super clean lake. Can see your feet in the water, even when standing neck deep! Not much beach, but plenty of tables. Nice little walking areas around the lake to check out. Great for paddle boarding if that's your cup of tea!"

"Paved, easy trail around the lake that's super pretty. Great for stroller and easy enough walk to handle in my third trimester! There's also a cute little beach and playground. Plus outhouses! Lots of parking but in peak season it can fill up quickly."
Kay Kusi
"Annette Lake is a peaceful gem just a short drive from Jasper, and honestly, it feels like a place the locals are trying to keep secret.
The water is crystal clear and calm—perfect for swimming if you're brave enough for that chilly mountain water. There’s a great walking path that loops around the lake, nice and flat, with lots of spots to stop and soak in the views (or pretend you’re on a nature documentary).
There’s also a beach area with picnic tables and room to lounge, making it a great spot for families or a quiet afternoon with a book. We even saw a couple of paddle boarders cruising by like pros.
If you want the beauty of the Rockies without the tourist chaos, Annette Lake is the move."

The Allure of Turquoise Waters
While the water is undeniably beautiful, be prepared for its glacial origins. Even on a hot summer day, the temperature can be a shock to the system, typically hovering around 16-18°C (60-64°F). This makes it perfect for a quick, invigorating dip or for activities like paddleboarding and kayaking where you might not be fully submerged for long. The calm surface of the lake on most days further enhances its appeal for these water sports.

It’s a place where you can truly unwind and appreciate the natural splendor of Jasper National Park.
