What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Lake Agnes Tea House Trail for its stunning scenery, comparing its beauty favorably to Lake Louise itself. The unique experience of reaching a historic tea house amidst the mountains is a major highlight. While the trail is generally manageable, some find it challenging due to elevation and uneven terrain, and crowds can be significant during peak times.
"Came to this trail at the end of May, not really crowded, just enough people on the trail to make me feel safe. The views on the trail and to the end of it is definitely worth it and even comparable to lake Louis itself, it's definitely worth it for everyone coming to lake Louis. You also get a view of 2 other lakes, mirror lake, which is a pretty good lake, and lake Agnes, which makes you really feel the atmosphere and in the mountains. Some people have said there is too many hikers, I didn't feel that since I didn't come to banff during peak season. So if you are coming peak season, I suggest maybe doing it in the morning. The trail was easy to walk, except it gets a bit slippery at the end."
Ethan Cao
"Super easy out and back. I would recommend going very early or in the evening if not it will be crowded. Early section is paved after that the trail although has no grade is uneven."
Keith Petersen
"Cleared, but not paved hiking trail along the Lake Louise shoreline. It’s an easy route with little elevation change but some open roots. No need to wear boots but comfy shoes are recommended.More adventurous hikers can take it to up to the Teahouse"
