What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Lock 35 Rosedale for its beautiful, peaceful setting and exceptionally clean facilities, especially the washrooms. The friendly and helpful park staff are a major highlight, making stays in the unique Otentiks and cabins very enjoyable. Some guests noted less friendly interactions with local residents, but this did not detract from the overall positive experience with the park's management and amenities.
"We rented a cabin from the city. 4 stars because the area was so pretty and the cabin and dock were adorable and the city workers were so friendly and helpful. The only issue was the locals that lived near the property and some of the boat owners passing through were not particularly friendly. There is no diversity in the area at all, there seem to be a pro trump pro American sentiment (there were flags that combined the canadian and american) and signs on lawns to support these sentiments. Just a heads up for families or individuals who may be considered using the city facilities."

"We had an amazing stay at the Trent-Severn Waterway, Lock 35 – Rosedale, in the Otentik. The accommodation was spotless and very comfortable, with thoughtful touches like USB charging, lighting, and a barbecue with propane provided. The common restrooms were immaculately clean and well maintained, which really made the experience hassle-free.
The setting itself is beautiful and peaceful, but what stood out the most was how friendly and welcoming the staff were — they truly made the stay even more enjoyable.
Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a unique and well-organized getaway."

"Excellent facility, the cabin was clean and very spacious. The bathrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen in a provincial park. You can spend hours just observing the lock system. It was very well maintained. Beaches are about 30 mins away.
We went to Balsam Beach, had to pay day entry, the water was cold but the day was hot and sunny so it wasn't bad at all. Very crowded (Too crowded).
I would go to these cabins again. It was very peaceful and fun for the kids."
