What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Copper Point Golf Club is highly praised for its immaculate course conditions and friendly staff, particularly on The Ridge Course. While the family-friendly Point Course is a hit with beginners and kids, some visitors find the dining experience to be expensive with inconsistent food quality. Overall, it's a top choice for a well-maintained golf round in Invermere.
"We loved the smaller of the 2 courses. Absolutely perfect course for getting the kids out and having some fun. Kids played free and they had flags in the fairways so the kids know where it tee off from. You don't see that very often. It was a nice touch. It was my sons first time ever playing on a proper course and he loved it. I've never seen him excited about golf before(He also play amazing which i didn't see coming). Hopefully we'll be able to go back some day. Highly recommended for kids just starting their golfing journey."

"Wonderful experience from the moment you stepped out of your car. Clubhouse and practice area are very well kept and clean. Course conditions were incredible, well maintained and very fun to play. Greens rolled well and fast and were well kept just like the tee boxes. Definitely recommend"

"We had a great game on the Ridge Course today. The staff was fabulous and the course well cared for. The course is shorter than many but that was great for us. No par fives, just par 3's and 4's. I recommend playing here if you are looking for value for your money and time!"

Choosing Between The Ridge and The Point
In contrast, The Point Course is a shorter, 9-hole loop that is explicitly designed with beginners and families in mind. A standout feature is the presence of flags in the fairways, clearly marking the tee-off spots for younger or less experienced players. This thoughtful addition, along with the overall shorter layout, makes it an ideal environment for children to learn and enjoy golf without feeling overwhelmed.
When deciding, consider your group's golfing experience. If you're a seasoned golfer looking for a well-kept course with a unique format, The Ridge is likely your choice. If you're introducing new players to the game or looking for a fun, relaxed outing with family, The Point offers a more accessible and encouraging introduction to golf.
Course Conditions and Value
Despite the high quality of upkeep, many visitors find Copper Point to offer excellent value for money, particularly on The Ridge Course. While not the cheapest option in the region, the combination of course condition, service, and enjoyable play justifies the rates for many. Redditors have noted that courses in the Invermere area, including Copper Point, are generally in better shape than those in neighboring regions, suggesting that the investment is worthwhile for a superior golfing experience.
This focus on quality and value makes Copper Point a strong contender for golfers visiting the Columbia Valley. The commitment to maintaining pristine playing surfaces ensures that every round is a pleasure, and the pricing reflects a fair exchange for the high standards provided.
Dining Experiences at Copper Point
However, a significant point of contention is the food quality and price. Several reviews mention that the food is expensive and does not always meet expectations in terms of taste or quality. Specific complaints include thin, tough steaks, canned-tasting soups, and small portions for the cost. This has led some to reconsider golfing at the club if their dining experience was subpar.
For those planning a visit, it might be wise to manage expectations regarding the dining. While the service can be good, the culinary aspect may not be the highlight of the visit for everyone. Exploring dining options in the nearby town of Invermere might offer a wider range of choices and potentially better value.
