"Emory Creek is a great little campground right off the highway, in a lovely treed area beside the Fraser River just about 10 minutes outside of Hope BC. This campground is first come first served, the cost is $20/night The sites are private, have fire rings, picnic tables, and are super clean (gravel sites), most sites have a mix of sun and shade. There are a couple pit toilets, and a number of flush toilets, and potable water throughout the site. There are also trash receptacles and bottle recycling bins. Wood is available for $9/bundle. The camp host, Ernie, is awesome! On the downside, there is no children's playground, one cannot swim in the river although, if the water is low, a small pool forms that one can get to. Lake of the Woods is close by for swimming and picnicking, go early, in the summer it gets busy and there's limited parking. Although some may see this as a downside, there are trains running a few times a day on both sides of the campsite and they do sound their whistles, I love it! I highly recommend this fantastic campground!"
