"Don’t miss seeing this historic site in Halifax, even if you’re only there for one day. The historic significance is fascinating and even if history doesn’t interest you, if nothing else, this site is worth visiting for the views alone. Wonderful experience. Go before noon and tag along for the tour and you’ll get to see them shoot the canon right up close (take ear plugs or use your fingers,lol)"

"It's a pretty neat and historical location. Well situated and close to downtown Halifax. You do have to walk up a hill. The staff in uniform are pretty cool and very willing to talk to you except for the one that's at the front gate. Please don't bother him or her. If you want to are lucky, you can time your visit to catch the firing of the noontime gun and if you don't know about it, it will probably scare the crap out of you if you are close by.There is also a restaurant cafe inside with some meals that you can order from that time period."
