What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Laurentian University receives mixed reviews, with praise for specific departments like Fees and Finances and for its international student opportunities, including PR pathways and scholarships. However, many students report significant issues with academic advising, administrative responsiveness, and concerns about financial transparency and fees.
"It’s 12:38 p.m., and there is no one available at the front desk. When I inquired about it, I was told it’s lunchtime, which I understand. However, even during lunch hours, there should be an alternative staff member available to assist. Currently, there is no one at the desk, and there are already six people in the queue, with more still arriving, but no one is there to help."

"I would put a 0 here if possible. No accountability as a whole regarding education standards and subpar support from higher ups. Departmental problems are huge. Fees and Finances has lovely people who were very helpful and I’d give them all 5 stars."
Kalie Dykeman
"All they care about is money. They will try to extort you in different ways. This is the only school where you have to pay for everything, including access to your own tax documents (which other schools provide for free). I graduated and paid all my fees four years ago, yet I still can’t get them to send my official transcript to another school, as they keep looking for ways to extort more money from me."
