"We saw on the website that there were various fruits to pick, but when we arrived, we found that only apples were available. If some areas are not ready for visitors, you should inform people before they buy tickets. There are a few sheep, cows, ponies, and alpacas to see, but the animals are limited. The food offered at the restaurant is worse than what you’d find at a convenience store. If you're driving from Montreal, it’s not even worth the time and gas, especially considering that they charge an entrance fee. Most of the activities here are offered for free at other farms.

In response to the owner's reply, I would like to clarify a few points:
1. I did not say that you hid the admission fee; I simply stated that it was not worth the price.
2. No one explained anything to us at the exit of the parking lot, and according to your map, the area for pears is under construction, which is not mentioned on your website.
3. Your website states that there are 250 animals, not 100.
4. Regarding the food, there were only some desserts and sandwiches available. I didn’t try them, so perhaps they taste good.
By the way, the tractor drivers and the staff at the entrance were very nice. They deserve 5 stars.
Adding one more star for owner's quick reply."

The Alpaca Experience
While the alpaca walks are a paid extra, many visitors feel the cost is justified by the unique nature of the activity. It's recommended to book these walks in advance, especially during peak seasons, as they can be quite popular. The staff's hospitality during these interactions is also frequently praised, contributing to the overall positive experience.
Beyond the walks, the alpacas are also part of the general farm animal viewing, with some roaming freely in fields. Their presence adds to the charm of the farm and provides ample opportunities for observation and casual photos.
Navigating Expectations: Fruit Picking and Animal Variety
Similarly, the variety and number of farm animals might not always meet expectations. Although there are sheep, cows, ponies, and alpacas, some reviews mention that the animal count is limited. Visitors who are expecting a large petting zoo experience might find the selection smaller than anticipated. However, the animals that are present are often described as cute and approachable, with some enjoying the freedom to roam in fields.
To ensure a satisfactory visit, it's advisable to check the orchard's website or call ahead to confirm current fruit availability and any specific animal viewing information. This proactive approach can help align your visit with what the farm currently offers, preventing potential disappointment.
Dining and Picnic Options
The boutique does offer some food items, such as desserts and sandwiches, which might be suitable for a quick snack. However, for a full meal, especially if you have specific dietary preferences or higher culinary expectations, a picnic is likely the best bet. The farm's setting provides a lovely backdrop for a relaxed meal outdoors.
This advice is particularly relevant for families or those planning a longer visit, where having a reliable and enjoyable meal option is important. The availability of good picnic spots enhances the appeal of bringing your own provisions.
