What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the breathtaking, almost unreal beauty of Lake Louise and Moraine Lake, with their vibrant turquoise waters and majestic mountain backdrops. The hiking opportunities, particularly to Eiffel Lake, are highly recommended for their stunning vistas. However, the extreme popularity leads to significant challenges with access and crowds, making advance planning and shuttle use essential.
"Stating from Moraine lake area, it’s about 3.8 miles (6.12 km). First 1/2 of the trail is a bit steeper than the 2nd half. Tree covered trails most of the way so not easy to see the glacier covered mountain across from the trail. In terms of scenery, would rate it at 8 of 10. There are too many more scenic hiking trails to keep this one as top 10."

"This is an intermediate scenic hike in the Moraine Lake area on a maintained trail, which unfortunately does not include a descent to the lake. You have to find your own path to the lake, if you want to explore it. We chose to descent on the steep heather and scree to minimize a rock fall risk, and saw some cairns there. With the descent to the Eiffel Lake a total distance is 13 km with 560 m cumulative elevation gain. If you choose to stay on the maintained trail, the stats would be even more moderate. ."

"I would rate this hike to Eiffel Lake as second best in the Lake Moraine area after Larch Valley with Sentinel Pass.
After 3 km of trail in beautiful forest you reach breathtaking views of broad valley adorned with stunning vertical rock walls and peaks: Tonsa Peak, Mt. Allen, Deltaform, Neptuak and Hungabee"
