"We walked down to Whiffin Spit many times while staying at the Sooke Harbour House. The spit is such an easy and peaceful stroll for everyone! My pro-tip is you stop by the hotel's to-go window (8am-2pm) to grab some fresh pastry and a coffee, and go for the morning walks, or have a 'hike and dine' on the picturesque patio afterwards. The gravel path is accessible and full of happy people and dogs. You can hang out on the pebble beach, or even jump in for a dip. The views are really beautiful, very classic Vancouver island vibe with fishing boats cruising by, kayakers out on the water, and wildlife all around. No matter it is gloomy or sunny it is a perfect walk all day long."

"Lagoon like place to visit with friends or family when in or around Sooke. We went to drop off some items for a lady in Sooke and she suggested us to visit this place. We absolutely loved it. Going there from Langford what we loved the most is it’s not crowded at all. All the people who came for a walk were very nice and welcoming. The views are amazing, I believe it’s going to be even better in peak summer. Will surely visit again when in Sooke."
