"Nice place to stop when going north or south along Vancouver islands inside passage or when you are starting to explore desolation sound or discovery bay. Friendly staff, excellent accommodations, laundry, showers, boatside pumpout. Lots of nearby stores and restaurants. They have one very concerning problem, all of the docks are supported by Styrofoam which has apparently been deteriorating for years and all of the small white particles are in the water all over the harbor and I have to assume wildlife is eating it. I would give this marina a 5 star rating, but the Styrofoam issue is alarming for a country that has strong environmental laws."

"The only reason it’s not a 5 is an issue getting access to showers, wifi. and laundry when a delay caused us to arrive after close. We had our assigned slip but specifically asked about access to facilities if we couldn’t make it by close. We were told arrangements had been made. I have NO issue with staff going home at end of day, of course, or even not having access to facilities until the next morning - but guests need to know this up front.
That said - the marina facilities and staff are amazing!
The slips are so wide (!!) Showers/bathrooms were immaculate and no scrambling for coins to get a 5 min shower! It’s at least 15 min and I’m pretty sure there was still water after. We did all our recycling and garbage - like showers, the cost was included in the nightly charge. And everything from a Winners and Superstore to a Marine store and restaurants minutes away by foot!
If there was a half star I wouldn’t hesitate to give 4.5 stars!"
