Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the RARE Charitable Research Reserve for its beautiful, well-maintained trails and abundant wildlife. The scenic river views and the stunning trillium bloom in spring are frequently highlighted as major draws. While most visitors respect the rules, a few have encountered individuals disregarding trail regulations.

"Could hike here every day. Best place in Galt, trails are well maintained and easy to follow. Wildlife is plentiful, lookouts to the river are gorgeous, the trillium bloom in spring is breathtaking."

Alicia Kiedrowski

"Wonderful nature reserve. Well marked trails, and informative signage everywhere. Lots of tracks in the snow - deer, turkey, raccoon and (I think) coyote."

Tony S

"Lovely unspoiled nature trails. People are encouraged to stay on the trail for the conservation of nature. Dogs and bicycles are clearly marked as not being allowed in the Woodland trails. While I like dogs, I further like to respect the wishes of the people that put this fantastic Trail together. Upon our very first walk here, we encountered two separate individuals walking their dogs. The first lady told me it was perfectly okay and she had been coming here for five years. The second gentleman told me to go walk in a cemetery. Please be respectful in all manners regarding the rules of the trails."
