Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Glenmore Reservoir as a beautiful urban oasis, praising its well-maintained paths, stunning water views, and abundant wildlife. It's a beloved spot for walking, cycling, and enjoying nature year-round, with special appeal for its winter ice activities and vibrant fall colors. Some users express frustration over specific watercraft restrictions and concerns about microplastic pollution.
"I'm just interested why personal canoes and kayaks are allowed here but paddleboards are not? Is this a business or what? If someone drowns ( hopefully not), that possibility is just as possible from any type of small boat. There's really nowhere to board in Calgary. And it's extremely unpleasant. I feel like a dog on a leash: I can see the water, but I'm not allowed in. And the restrictions are ONLY for supboards. Where is the logic?
I love this place: there are lots of birds and even frogs that sing. I just don't understand these restrictions on boards. It's easier to flip over from a kayak and harder to climb back up than from a board. Isn't it?"

"Beautiful spot to spend an evening walking. The park has breathtaking view of the reservoir and I am really short of words to describe how beautiful 😍 it was.
The park has a dedicated bike path and a walking path which is always great and has a dog on leash policy.
I really wish I lived closer to this park as I would have loved to come here for a walk on a daily basis, but I am sure I will be driving here often."

"Beautiful oasis within the city. There are various parking lots so it doesn’t feel too crowded. Bike and pedestrian paths are separated which is really nice, many spots for bbq and fire pits, and there’s also a playground for kids. From the north side you can look down to the reservoir and down the south side with all the fall foliage. Definitely a lovely outdoor spot for a stroll anytime of the year."
