What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the International Peace Garden for its breathtaking beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and unique international setting. The meticulously maintained gardens, diverse flora, and symbolic border crossing are frequently highlighted as major draws. While some find the cafe a bit expensive, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a strong desire to return.
"We drove here on a Saturday from Minot, ND. If you drive here make sure you have a valid Passport or some kind of form of identification to enter back into the states. Aside from that, this park is beautiful. It's large and the gardens are truly breathtaking. We went during the end of August once the leaves started changing colors and it's truly a beautiful place to go have a picnic or just enjoy the scenery. I'm from Texas and down there we have the Botanical gardens, but this place was even better in my opinion. Quiet, and so peaceful. I'm definitely coming back again.
Also I'd like to add that there's so many wild turkeys roaming about, be careful not to let them in the gardens."

"Love it!!! It looked and smelled amazing. The storybook features were nice to see. Great place for a picnic or just sit and relax. The Wardens and 9/11 Memorials were nice to see and pay respect to. They had a great play area for kids to play, and the restrooms we covenant and clean. We would love to come back and spend more time exploring this beautiful area."

"So many beautiful flowers! The Chokecherry ice cream in the café is the best ice cream I've ever had. The chapel at the far end of the garden holds a lot of intrigue (and a lot of echoes!), and there are several interesting stops when you drive the ND side of the garden. This experience was so good, on so many levels. I can't wait to return!
Because you leave the United States to enter the Garden, bring your Real ID driver's license, or driver's license and birth certificate (if you don't have Real ID), or your passport for re-entry into the US."
