My family and visited Georgian Bay as part of a grand road trip to Bruce Peninsula last August 2022 and stumbled across this little town with a wonderful rest area. Too bad we only spend 25 min due to the intense rainstorm that was chasing us. The Beaver Trail, Georgian Trail, and wooden bridge were nice to tour. Even the ruins were unique and so was the Iron men across the Beaver River. Will definite come again."

"Beautiful bridge in Thornbury that crosses the river. If you look done you can spot salmon preparing to spawn. This is a very popular fishing spot for the locals but in the bridge and nearer the mouth of the river. You can catch rainbow trout and salmon here. Popular for fishing in September through to October."

"Nice, historic wooden bridge rebuilt from railway bridge to a part of Great Lakes Waterfront Trail. It’s a nice section of Georgian Trail in this area. At the same time, there is a nice view from the bridge, right behind it there is a rest area and the possibility to repair your bike if necessary. In addition, you will also find many information panels where you can learn more not only about the bike trail, but also about the region."
