Reviews Summary

Mont-Sainte-Anne is praised for its varied terrain and genuine Quebec ski experience, with a vibrant après-ski scene. While the mountain offers solid runs for intermediate and advanced riders, some visitors note that lift infrastructure could be modernized to reduce wait times. The scenic beauty, especially during fall, and the nearby Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré are significant draws.

"As a Montrealer who’s been snowboarding every winter since 2014 and hits Mont Sainte-Anne at least twice each season, here’s my take on the ski and snowboarding experience, plus the après-ski vibe at this iconic Quebec mountain.

Mont Sainte-Anne is a solid choice for riders who crave a good mix of terrain. The mountain offers a decent variety of steep black and blue runs that keep things interesting, especially on the south side where the Panorama Express chair whisks you quickly to a variety of challenging runs.

On a good day, you can easily rack up 15 runs and 30,000 feet of vertical, which is pretty impressive for an East Coast resort. The groomed trails are generally well maintained, though after heavy snowfalls the mountain can get mogul-heavy, which might frustrate beginners or those looking for smooth cruisers.

The gondola is a nice touch, providing shelter from the cold and a smooth ride up, but the lift infrastructure could use some upgrades-waiting times can be long, especially since some key lifts are old and there’s often just one main way up the hill.

For advanced snowboarders, there’s enough steep terrain and some off-piste areas to keep you entertained, although the resort can feel a bit small if the snow conditions limit off-piste options.

Mont Sainte-Anne delivers a genuine Quebec ski experience with solid terrain for intermediate and advanced riders, though it could benefit from some infrastructure investments to reduce lift lines and modernize facilities.

The snowboarding here is fun and varied, especially when the conditions are right. Plus, the après-ski scene is vibrant and welcoming, with plenty of spots to relax, enjoy good food and drinks, and catch live music. For a Montrealer like me, it’s the perfect weekend getaway to recharge and enjoy winter to the fullest.

If you’re looking for a mountain with character, good runs, and a lively social scene after the last run, Mont Sainte-Anne is definitely worth the trip. Just bring your patience for the lifts and your appetite for après-ski fun!"

"While in the area for a couple of days, and having a view of the mountain from our Air BnB, we just had to take the gondola to the top to check out the view. I am sure glad we did, because it was spectacular. It wasn't very busy (middle of summer), so we got on and up quickly. Most other passengers were mountain biking down. We explored the summit and soaked up the stunning views. It was a super hot and humid day, so some views were limited, but still fantastic. We spotted our Air BnB from the top, which was pretty cool. Back down on the gondola and then a stop for a snack and beverage. Now we want to go back in winter and try skiing."

"Mont Sainte Anne is one of our favourite ski mountains in Canada. Great accommodations on and near the mountain, great restaurants in the town a short drive, excellent lift systems and well groomed trails. A truly great ski experience."
