Reviews Summary

Visitors find Wat Ek Phnom to be a fascinating historical site with a unique blend of ancient ruins and a modern pagoda. While the ruins are in a state of disrepair, their age and historical significance are appreciated. The peaceful atmosphere and low crowds are often highlighted as positives, making it a worthwhile, albeit brief, stop. Reddit+2

"It’s a nice pagoda, pretty much the same as the structures you would find at Angkor Wat and other temples from the Angkor Period. There’s also a little shrine inside the pagoda. You do have pay to get in. I find this p,ace to be one of those places you go and see it one time and you’re good. There’s no tour guide or anything from what I saw when I came. Hardly any people on a weekday."

Timothy Te

"Very cool temple to see. There’s both a new temple and some ruins which are older than Angkor wat, according to our tuk tuk driver. It was $1 per person which is fair enough if they have to maintain the place."

Noah Tulk

"Definitely worth the visit!
The entry was 4000KHR or $1
It wasn’t busy at all, when we visited there were only two other people there other than the locals.
It’s a temple from the 1100s in quite a bad condition, but definitely fascinating.
There is a modern temple right in front of it and a big Buddha just to the side."
