"The plan for the local church was created around 1820. However, it was not realized until between 1860-1865. As the main church in the city, it was rebuilt in 1927 and 1960. However, it experienced the greatest intervention in 2012 when a three-story building with a tower and facilities for the parish was added to its end. However, this new building is still criticized today. Beautiful masses are held here on Sundays and holidays (in Cape Verde, approximately 90% are Catholics)"
