"the enormous number of stairs on the way to the statue was absolutely worth it and it felt so rewarding to finally be face to face with such monument. at the moment we arrived in shumen we immediately decided that we would climb those thousand stairs even though we were just on a day trip. it surprisingly didn't take us as long as we anticipated and we only had to ask for directions was and that was at the very beginning of the journey, from then on it was smooth sailing. it was such a peaceful and beautiful experience to be immersed in nature and the history that lay within."
