"A Usina Três Irmãos é a maior usina construída no Rio Tietê e está localizada entre os municípios de Andradina e Pereira Barreto (SP), a 28 km da confluência com o Rio Paraná.
Possui cinco unidades geradoras com turbinas Francis e potência instalada de 807,50 MW. A primeira unidade geradora entrou em operação em novembro de 1993 e a quinta, em janeiro de 1999.
Sua barragem tem 3.640 m de comprimento e seu reservatório mede 785 km2.
Possui duas eclusas para navegação.
O Canal Pereira Barreto, com 9.600 m de comprimento, interliga os reservatórios de Ilha Solteira e Três Irmãos, propiciando a operação energética integrada dos dois aproveitamentos hidrelétricos, além de permitir a navegação entre os tramos norte e sul da Hidrovia Tietê-Paraná.
