What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tartaruga Beach is praised for its calm waters, making it ideal for snorkeling and family fun. Visitors appreciate the scenic access and the option to find quieter spots away from vendors. However, some find the sand quality inconsistent and the kiosk food overpriced.
"Nice beach.
Parking might be an issue, but there's some coffee shops for food and drinks. The sand was a bit dirty, the sea water has minimal waves, not cold. The view is amazing."

"Beautiful calm beach. To access you need to walk on cobblestones downhill. I suggest going past the quiosques that are already set up to the open beach space to the far left from the entrance. Bring your own chairs and sun umbrellas and enjoy a much more pleasant experience away from the sellers. Also the food at the quiosques is generally prepared boxes that get heated slightly before served to you for 100 brl. Not worth the meal and seats in a crowded thin beach. I've seen people leave half the food uneaten in the quiosque box because it's not very good. You can also take a boat taxi to get here but be prepared to get wet disembarking."
