What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Prainha is widely praised for its stunning natural beauty, clear warm waters, and fine sand, often compared to the Caribbean. Visitors enjoy the accessible location, family-friendly atmosphere, and opportunities for snorkeling with sea turtles. However, some find the beach and surrounding areas overly crowded, with issues like parking difficulties, litter, and persistent vendors detracting from the experience.
"Fantastic beach. Easily accessible, has a life guard on duty. Plenty of room to play soccer and volleyball on the beach. Sand is amazing and the water is super clear.
Only issue is the amount of vendors that come to you to try and sell you services as you're trying to enjoy the beach."

"Great beach, nice warm water, amazing nature. Beach has vendors for all your needs. I would recommend staying at the far end of the beach where there is less people and more space. Bathroom on site and a pay bathroom at the inn at the far end. Surrounded by nature, the birds dive bombing to catch fish is truly incredible, turtles seen very often coming up for air, fish swimming all around. Recommend grabbing snorkel gear and going over the short walk to gracainha beach and swim with the huge turtles, it’s unbelievable. Beach vendor at far end made us feel welcome and was there for anything you needed. Eduardo helped us, ask for him. Drinking water from an ice cold coconut on the beach in Brazil it doesn’t get any better than that. Mahi mahi/dorado fish was excellent, the Brazilian burger was also top notch! Thanks Eduardo!!!"

"Overall, the beach is very pretty. However, a bit disappointed with the overall atmosphere surrounding this area. It’s incredibly crowded with people and cars everywhere. Parking is incredibly hard to find, with the town giving you tickets even in areas where there aren’t any “no parking” signs to warn you.
I think this place has the potential to be amazing, but right now, it’s way too crowded and seems like the town can’t keep up with the tourism. Trash in the streets, overcrowding (on all fronts: beach, streets, parking, supermarket, etc.)
When I think of going to the beach, I hope for a relaxed time and overall, this place just didn’t do that for me. Shame because it really is still very beautiful. Hope that the town can keep up with the tourism in order to maintain its beauty.
