What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Praia de São Pedro is widely praised as one of Guarujá's most beautiful and peaceful beaches, offering clean waters and excellent surfing conditions. Visitors love its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere, though the limited parking and lack of amenities require careful planning.
"Paradise is here.
If you go there in the weekend, you must arrive early (in either São Pedro or Tijucopava — these two beaches are connected). It is located inside of a closed area (private houses). It has a parking lot with a limited number of slots (in Tijucopava there are 72 slots). If the parking lot is full, you must wait outside the entrance (usually there is a line on a sunny day), until a slot is available.
You must go by car (not possible by public transport without walking a lot to get there — jumping out at the road and walking a long way to get to the beach).
No snacks to buy there. You must bring your food. There are bathrooms and showers by the parking lot (cold water, one is natural, close to the beach — go down to Tijucopava beach for this natural shower).
For elderly people and wheelchairs: there are stairs to go gown. An elderly not fit won’t be able to get there. I do not think there is an accessible way to the beach)."

Navigating Access and Parking
This limited parking is the most crucial factor for planning your visit. On sunny days and weekends, the lot fills up very quickly, sometimes by mid-morning. If you arrive and the parking is full, you'll likely have to wait outside the entrance until a spot opens up, which can involve a significant queue. Therefore, arriving early, ideally before 9 AM on a weekend, is highly recommended to avoid disappointment and long waits. The drive itself is scenic, offering glimpses of the coastal landscape as you approach.
Beach Experience and Amenities
When it comes to amenities, Praia de São Pedro is quite basic. There are no commercial establishments like snack bars or restaurants on the beach itself. Visitors are strongly advised to bring all their food and drinks for the day. However, there are essential facilities available near the parking lot, including bathrooms and cold showers. For a unique rinse, a natural shower can be found by heading down to Tijucopava beach. It's important to note that the beach access involves stairs, which may pose a challenge for elderly visitors or those with mobility issues.
