What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Praia da Enseada is a vast and beautiful beach, praised for its expansive shoreline and lively promenade. Visitors enjoy the varied sea conditions, with calmer areas ideal for families. However, some reviews mention concerns about litter, emphasizing the need for responsible beachgoing. Despite this, many find it a heavenly spot, especially for first-time visitors to Brazil.
"Enseada Beach - a huge bay beach, fully illuminated. Main in Guaruja so it is very crouded.
Walking along the beach, we saw a terrible view of rubbish. The beaches here are supposed to be cleaned by cleaning crews, BUT after staying on the beach, people leave rubbish in the place where they were sunbathing. It is not so bad when they are closed in a bag, however most often they are loose. The evening rest on the beach after sunset (around 6:30 pm), in some dry sand, begins with looking for a place free from the sight of rubbish.
The ocean's view is beautyfull though"

Exploring the 6km Stretch
Beyond the water, the beach boasts a well-developed promenade that is perfect for leisurely strolls, jogging, or cycling. Lined with palm trees and dotted with numerous kiosks and restaurants, it provides a lively atmosphere and opportunities to enjoy local snacks and refreshments. The urban planning of the area is notable, with a focus on maintaining an open view and avoiding high-rise constructions directly on the beachfront, contributing to its scenic appeal.

To experience its beauty with fewer people, opting for a weekday visit or exploring during the shoulder seasons like March can offer a more serene atmosphere and potentially a cleaner environment, as noted by some visitors.
Community Insights on Beach Cleanliness
However, it's important to note that experiences can vary. Some visitors have reported finding the beach very clean, especially during less crowded times or in the off-season. This suggests that the cleanliness can be dependent on the time of visit and the collective behavior of those present. The advice from the community is to be mindful and proactive: bring your own trash bags and utilize the available bins to help preserve the beach's pristine condition for everyone to enjoy.
