Infelizmente quase que completamente abandonado pela administração pública municipal. Há um lago que poderia ser o mais lindo da cidade, há museu, ciclovia, matinha, quadras esportivas, quiosques, e uma infinidade de possibilidades. "E realmente um lugar excelente pra se divertir e passear com a família, atualmente o Bateias precisa de manutenção e cuidados em relação ao park com brinquedos desgastados que precisam de substituição, quadras sem redes em trave, Museo fechado, e principalmente aos problemas com esgoto e todo o mato. Há alguns anos toda a água que corria pelos Bateias encantava e trazia turismos ao local, mas com o início de obras no local quem sabe não presenciaremos o que esse local já foi um dia!"
