Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Museu Sacaca for its beautiful, educational, and free experience, highlighting the impressive whale skeleton and immersive cultural displays. The helpful staff and availability of local treats like cupuaçu juice are also frequently mentioned positives. Some note that open-air sections may close during heavy rain.

"A beautiful walk through a stunning educational park. The highlight was the whale skeleton discovered near the city, displayed in its full size. There’s also a merchant ship where you can take a short educational boat ride.

Throughout the park, you’ll find displays showcasing different professions and ways of life along the Amazon River, such as the castanha man, cassava man, and how childbirth was traditionally handled.

The park also features a museum, which we unfortunately couldn’t visit as it was closed during our visit, so we’ll save that for next time.

I consider this place one of the best attractions alongside the fortress, so it’s definitely worth a visit. Admission is free, and the staff is exceptionally helpful. Impressively, there are even English translations on the signs, which is rare for Brazil in general, and especially for Macapá. Enjoy your visit!"

"As good as I remember. A must place for any visitors! It's focused on the way of life of locals including indians. Make sure to grab the ice cream! Cupuaçu Pavê and the Yoghurt Amarena are hands down one of the best. Just a heads up that if it is raining, they will close off the open walking space which is like half of the museum."

"Friendly service in this calm really well mantained and beautiful place. We drunk a delicious cupuaçu juice in the food court! Awesome."
