What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Lagoa Verde for its stunning natural beauty and vibrant underwater life, making it a top spot for snorkeling. The unique floating restaurants add a charming touch to the experience. However, some note that the lagoon can become quite crowded, especially during peak seasons, and litter can occasionally detract from its pristine appearance.
"The best drinks we had, during our visit at Ilha Grande, were served at this floating restaurant. The people who met us were very hospitable and friendly. Although the place was closed, due to maintainance during winter-time, they were happy to serve us some drinks, which was exactly what we wanted during our visit. We enjoyed their caipiriñas and batida de coco in the sun, while chatting with the owners, who live on the boat. Coming from a country, that values hospitality highly, this felt like coming home to us. Would definetily recommend stopping by, when visiting Lagoa Verde!!"

"Lagoa Verde is definitely worth visiting if you're a keen snorkeller. There was a wide variety of fish near the boats and even more if you swim 10m away. I saw so many fish and creatures tucked in the coral and sand. I also saw a baby squid - it must have only been a few days old!
Lagoa Verde is a busy location at the height of tourist season so prepare for lots of other boats and people."

"Beautiful! We got a chance to see a turtle swim there nearby and the colours of the lagoon is amazing. Sadly it is becoming a little dirty with plastic and other stuff. Please take good care when you go there."
