What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors describe Lago do Maicá as a beautiful and fantastic place, perfect for weekend getaways and holidays, offering spectacular fauna and flora. While some note the harshness of lake life and potential impacts of drought on wildlife, the overall experience is highly recommended for its natural wonders and the unique opportunity to witness the meeting of rivers and observe local life.
"Life on the lake is harsh as it is it’s also beautiful and a very primitive way. Locals live on the river, Banks and Raise pigs and goats. As our little 20 foot boat goes by people wave, especially the children on the shores. It was very obvious that they’re in a huge drought, and the water levels are at the lowest they claim that they’ve ever been in 100 years. But next week starts the rainy season and hopefully they’ll recover from that but it’s very clear to see that all the nature the animals that you would see on the River Banks are not around."
