What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning natural beauty of Ilha Montão de Trigo, particularly its crystal-clear waters and charming rustic atmosphere. The boat trip to the island is also a highlight, offering beautiful coastal views. However, some find the hiking trails challenging and advise caution and proper preparation.
"The island is beautiful! We chartered a small boat from a man that lives on the island and we got to explore. The island is rustic but charming. We attempted to hike with our guide to the summit but the path was very challenging and very hot we gave up before we reached the summit. There was a man at the bottom Paulo, that said it was very easy and only took 20 minutes. I think this was to convince to pay the R$20 to use the path. We nearly passed out from heat exhaustion and were very unprepared. Lots of sharp rocks and loose gravel, if you do plan to hike to the summit wear proper footwear and bring plenty of water. The island and the people on it are beautiful, worth the visit."
