Ilha do Mel is widely praised as a beautiful, natural paradise with a relaxed atmosphere, free from cars. Visitors love its unspoiled beaches, scenic views from the lighthouse, and historical sites. Some find accommodation and dining a bit pricey, and the weather in August can be cooler than ideal for beach activities.
"We loved this little island. Popular yet unspoilt so to speak, with their fishermen boats, small restaurants and a few tourists accommodations as well the homes of the local people. The boat trip to the island was an adventure in itself. A little paradise on Paraná's coast. Go."

"Its a amazing place to hang out with lots of phogenic places to look for.The best time to start is early morning as the boat leaves from a nearby boat jetty about 10 minutes drive from panagua and the first boat leaves at about 0730hrs and the last boat comes back at around 1800hrs. 1 day is enough for sight seeing at the island and if you have time you can stay at the island which is a bit expensive but a good experience. The boat charges are about 18-20usd from paranagua to n fro. The place have good outlets for eating and you can also buy souvenirs. The island have a tourist information centre which speaks English too. They will provide you the map and the required information to explore the island."
