Reviews Summary

Cidade da Criança offers a variety of attractions and meal options, with some visitors praising the friendly staff and well-maintained park. However, others report issues with aging rides, cleanliness, and disorganized entry processes, leading to a mixed overall experience.

"The park is in good conditions, variety of attractions and meal options for kids. Some of the park members give a great attendance, but most of them were in a "bad moody". Meals and fast food are simple but enough. Prices are reasonable for a theme park.
Parking lot is not private but im good conditions and have a good amount of parking spots."

"Amazing place for kids and adults. To enjoy the most ride for your kids your kid needs to be atleast 80cm and above. The staff at all locations like at the rides, entrance restaurant cleaning etc all are very kind and friendly. Very clean and well maintained place. If you donot want to have rides you don't need to pay to enter the Park. You can pay each ride 6 reais. And if you are full adventurous person I would advise to go for Passport payments or online booking for discounts which allows you all rides unlimited except visit to the Farm which is 15 reais each person from age of 2. The ride to Dinosaur is 6 reais person and is one kore ride which I am not aware but the rest you can enjoy unlimited whole day long. Cable car is included and is amazing. The food in restaurant is very fresh and also you can carry your food if you don't want to use the restaurants as there is a place with benches. There are various timings for entry but u would prefer to start 10am as easy to park your car outside and can enjoy the most as is not crowded till noon. And also is better to enjoy rides before lunch to avoid dizziness who feels due to rides the rides. Parking is free on street but local people can ask for tips. There is one ride which you go through water splash where you get wet so if you want to enjoy it make sure carry a towel or extra clothes if you do not prefer to be wet but also along with sun you get dry quickly. I am putting images of prices for reference can change or update as time. Highly Recommended"

"Save your money and take your children somewhere else. You've been warned!

Unhelpful staff. Aging, boring and seemingly unsafe rides (just my opinion based on the noises they made). Disgusting bathrooms... At a park for children? Unforgivable. The entire complex is in a fairly shabby state.

Even the ticketing process and lines for rides are disorganized and chaotic. Several rides not functioning and our four year old was either too big or too little for several rides. These rules seemed to be enforced arbitrarily. Ridiculous.

I don't think I've ever given a 1 star review before but this one it's well desererved. What a joke. What a rip off. São Paulo is really in trouble if this is a 4 star attraction in the eyes of other Google reviewers."

For Different Travelers

Tailored advice for your travel style

👨‍👩‍👧 Families with Young Children

For families with very young children, managing ride height restrictions is key. Many rides have a minimum height of 80cm, so be prepared for some attractions to be off-limits. The submerged submarine and 4-D theater are generally good options for this age group. Bringing your own snacks and drinks is highly recommended, as is packing a towel and change of clothes for the water splash ride. Consider a weekday visit to avoid the largest crowds.

💰 Budget Travelers

To make Cidade da Criança budget-friendly, consider purchasing an unlimited rides passport if your children plan to go on many attractions, as it can be cheaper than paying per ride. The water splash ride also adds an element of fun and surprise.

In-depth insights and expert knowledge

Navigating Ride Restrictions and Expectations

A common point of discussion among visitors is managing expectations around ride accessibility for children. Many rides at Cidade da Criança have specific height requirements, often starting around 80cm. This means that while the park is designed for kids, some attractions might be too tall for toddlers or too small for older children, leading to disappointment if not anticipated. It's crucial for parents to check these restrictions beforehand, perhaps by looking for signage near each ride or inquiring with staff, to ensure a smoother experience and avoid meltdowns.

Some reviews mention that ride rules can seem arbitrarily enforced, adding to the confusion. This inconsistency can be frustrating for families trying to navigate the park. While the intention is safety, the execution can sometimes feel chaotic. For a more predictable experience, consider purchasing an unlimited rides passport if your child meets the height requirements for a good number of attractions. This can be more cost-effective than paying per ride, especially if they plan to go on their favorites multiple times.

Understanding Ticket Options and Value

Cidade da Criança offers flexible ticketing, allowing visitors to either pay for each ride individually or opt for an unlimited rides passport. The per-ride cost is around 6 reais, which can be manageable for a few select attractions. However, for families planning a full day of fun and with children eager to experience multiple rides, the passport often presents better value. It's worth noting that some special attractions, such as the farm visit, are typically not included in the standard passport and require a separate fee.

Online booking is frequently recommended as a way to secure potential discounts and streamline the entry process. This can be particularly helpful during busier periods. Visitors also have the option to enter the park without purchasing ride access, allowing them to enjoy the atmosphere and perhaps a meal, while paying only for the rides they choose. This flexibility caters to different preferences and budgets, making the park accessible to a wider range of families.

Food and Facilities: A Mixed Bag

When it comes to dining, Cidade da Criança provides simple fast food and meal options, with the restaurant's food described as fresh by some. However, a significant point of contention in some reviews relates to the park's facilities, particularly the bathrooms, which have been described as 'disgusting' by some visitors. This is a critical concern for a park aimed at children and can significantly impact the overall experience.

On a more positive note, visitors are permitted to bring their own food and utilize the designated picnic areas with benches. This is a great way for families to save money and ensure they have snacks and meals that their children will enjoy. The availability of street parking, while free, does come with the caveat of local residents sometimes asking for tips, which is a common occurrence in many public parking areas.
