"I should have made this comment much earlier, but there were so many things that I didn't have time. Anyway, I went to Brazil in 2024, more specifically to Manaus,with my boyfriend and his son. My boyfriend is very passionate about soccer — One day, we were at the mall and he saw the Amazonas soccer club store, and he fell in love with the colors and the jersey. He wanted to go in and buy it right away, and I ended up accepting. We bought three shirts that weren't cheap, but they looked very nice.
The first disappointment was that, when I left the mall, I noticed a stain like it was bleach on one of the Tshirt. We had to go back and exchange it. At first, they said they couldn't exchange it because I had already removed the tag — but I hadn't seen the stain before I removed it. In the end, they exchanged it, but after that more problems arose: not once or twice, but four times. It was always something — a new stain, or the biggest problem, which was the symbol on the front of the Tshirt, which started to peel off even though I hadn't even washed it.
I told my boyfriend that I wanted to return it and get my money back, but he didn't want to because he really liked the shirt. He just wanted to exchange it for a new one, because we hadn't even worn it properly and it was already ruined. But this time they didn't want to exchange it at all. They even said that if there were any more problems, they wouldn't exchange it — as if it were our fault and not the poor quality of the shirt. We don't live in Brazil, so we had to go back home with the shirts, which are now all defective: paint coming off, stickers peeling off...
Oh, and one more thing: when you try to argue with them or explain that it's not wrong, they say that you're attacking them, that you're a scammer, that you're trying to extort money, or anything like that. As if it were forbidden to defend your consumer rights. So, my advice to anyone visiting Manaus is: don't buy expensive things, even if you really like them. Because these stores don't take responsibility and treat the customer as if they were in the wrong."

"Amazona shopping mall was the very first mall in Manaus. It still is a very nice clean mall and prices here are a better value than the newer malls. Has a nice market Carrefour market a nice market that has everything but best of all nice French bread. Missing is the Sucuri fishing tackle shop. Theatres are very nice but at this time requires a vaccine passport. Other than that a very nice place to shop."
