What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
San Pedro Airport is praised for its efficient and friendly service, unique aquarium, and stunning aerial views during flights. While seating can be limited and taxis expensive, the overall experience is described as stress-free and a pleasant introduction to island life.
"John Greif II Airport, is the San Pedro Airport that services flights in and out of Ambergris Caye, in Belize. If you’re flying here from an international hub, you would have to fly into Belize City and then take the 15 minute flight to San Pedro. There are two carriers that dominant this puddle jumping route. I chose Tropic Air both ways, because they more favorable comments on the internet. This was one of the best decisions I made. Both ways, the service on the ground and in the air, was superb. I was able to sit in the co-pilot seat, on both trips, to get a close up look of the skill, diligence, safety and professionalism of the pilots. The rides were smooth. And the views? Wow, what an experience. Nothing short of being unforgettable, memorable and spectacular."

"Fantastic local airport on Ambergris Caye! Easy to get to, clean with available restrooms, air conditioning, but limited seating. There are more seats upstairs, but you'll need to climb those stairs. It does get crowded quickly, but they're very efficient and on time with checking in and boarding. Once you check in you'll be given your boarding pass, which is basically a color specific placard, and that's how you'll board. By color! Kinda cool process and it works! Large screens and a personal airport associate will guide you easily thru that. A nice unique aquarium with some cool local art and high ceilings with nice light make your waiting to board much easier. An impressive local airport! Nice job!"

"“Island convenience at its best! The airport is located right in the heart of town, with super friendly staff and a stress-free vibe. There are only 2 gates, but plenty of seating both downstairs and upstairs. Bonus: there’s a huge aquarium that makes the wait surprisingly relaxing."
