"An Unforgettable Fishing Adventure at Cayo Frances Farm & Fly
As a lifelong trout angler, I’d consider myself a beginner at best when it comes to saltwater fly fishing, so I was a little nervous about doing a DIY trip. But after talking with our hosts, Cameron and Nick, they assured me I’d have every opportunity to catch fish and that they’d put me in the right places. They told me, “A bonefish is an honest fish — if he goes for your fly, he’ll take it.” They were absolutely right.
During my stay, I was able to catch tarpon, bonefish, and snook — though the permit got away when I made the rookie mistake of a trout set. The fishing was incredible, and the scenery was even better. The camp itself exceeded all expectations — comfortable, relaxed, and full of good energy.
I quickly became friends with the camp manager, Edger, who is an amazing man and guide. He skillfully navigated us through mazes of mangroves that opened up into pristine tarpon flats, and then later took us to schools of bonefish. After a day of fishing, he’d treat us to fresh coconuts that he’d cut straight from the trees with his machete — a must-try experience! The coconut water (or “coconut mile” as he called it) was incredibly refreshing, and we even got creative by adding a little coconut rum.
Every day, Edger made sure we were well taken care of, dropping us off at different flats based on what we wanted to target and always picking us up on time — no matter how far we roamed. And a bonus tip: if you end up playing darts, make sure Edger is on your team!
When it came to the food, Ms. Rachael, the chef, went above and beyond. Every meal was delicious and authentically Belizean. The jerk chicken and BBQ nights were absolute highlights — dishes you have to experience to believe.
I can’t say enough about how welcome I felt by this incredible group of people. The fishing, the food, the friendships — it was all unforgettable. I’m already planning my next trip back to Cayo Frances Farm & Fly."

"WOW! Just got back from the ultimate girls’ getaway, and I can’t say enough amazing things about this place—it is pure paradise! From start to finish, everything was perfect. We fished, paddleboarded, and sipped cocktails while lounging in the most charming cabanas. Total dream. And the cherry on top? A personal chef who treated us to mouthwatering meals so we didn't even have to cook! We felt completely pampered and relaxed. Already planning our next trip back—this place is an absolute gem! A+++"

"Spent a week there in March 2025. A combination of guided and DIY fishing that is simply unique. On guided days caught double digit bonefish per angler, and on DIY days got to amazing flats where no boat could go and caught more bonefish and tarpon. Awesome camp vibe, with simple, comfortable accommodations and tasty, rib-sticking food. Amazing spot tucked out of the bustle of San Pedro, and you feel like you are out in your own world. Heartily recommend."
