What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Parc Louise-Marie is a beautiful and serene park with a lovely lake, playground, and historical bridge, offering a peaceful escape. However, some visitors have noted concerns about safety and maintenance in certain areas, with occasional reports of unsettling individuals and drug-related activity. Despite these drawbacks, many find it a valuable green space for relaxation and family fun.
"I found this place to be a little piece of heaven. It is serene and large with varieties of plants and trees, a lake with ducks and turtles, a very peaceful atmosphere, a playground area for kids. I often see families, people playing ball, but I sometimes also find people who don't look very reassuring. There's sometimes the smell of weed, but it's also everywhere in Namur. I've been warned about it and told it's not safe, with high criminality and reports of assaults, drug dealing, violence and there was even a report about a murder and stabbing incidents (you can search for them on google). Too bad it was ruined for me, I really love this park. 5 stars but minus one for the murder 😔"

"Nice place for relaxation beside river. Amazing place to get your kids busy in playground. This parc is named after the first queen of Belgium. It has a lake, children's play area, a rose garden and an ancient bridge. The ancient bridge was built by the Dutch in the early part of the 19th century."
